We are the Brennans tells the story of Sunday Brennan and her extended Irish family. Sunday has separated herself from the rest of her family and for the past five years has been living California…a far cry from her East Coast roots. When a car accident causes Sunday to return home she realizes just how much she needs her family and vice versa…this is especially apparently when the past comes calling.
From the sneak peek I was given to read I was immediately interested in the Brennan family story. They seem like a close knit group so why did Sunday move all the way to another coast to separate herself from them? It also appears Sunday has been lying about her life in Los Angeles…what is the reason for this secret? Sunday’s brothers Denny and Jackie are also mentioned in the sneak peek. It appears Denny is having trouble both financially and with his home life. I’m curious to learn more about him and what has caused these issues. Jackie is only mentioned in passing, but he seems like a bit of a troublemaker. Finally Danny’s business partner appears to be Sunday’s ex…again I’m curious to see what happened there. I love the idea of a big messy family story that has a lot of heart. This will be going on my to read list!
