I really liked the cover and the comparisons with other popular works of fiction. However, I am wondering how this book could possibly be in the same vein. Right from the start I don't like the protagonist, and I'm not sure how that will be overcome, especially when the synopsis doesn't make it seem like a tale of redemption but more about this character just unraveling more dark family secrets, possibly giving her an excuse for her own bad behavior?
