Right off the bat, the writing felt accessible and I was immediately intrigued by the character Sunday. The story felt very realistic and raw and reminded me of a tv show - maybe Shameless? A messy, juicy family story about an Irish Catholic family in Westchester county? Sounds like the perfect escape.
I don’t love the cover it feels too sparse and dull. I want the cover to draw me in more and give me a greater feel for the story. Color too.
