Wow. I just finished this book, and I am struggling to put my thoughts into words. This is the first book I've read from Lisa Jewell, and it will not be my last. I was hooked by the end of the first chapter, and knew that I would have to keep reading it until I finished it. Rather inconvenient for my homework schedule, but needs must, lol.
Lisa made me care about all of these characters. She writes them very well. You care about some, despise others, and then, when you think your opinions are fixed, she switches things. I always like to challenge myself when I'm reading thrillers, to see if I can figure out who did the horrible thing before it's revealed. I did manage to figure it out, but only just before it was revealed, which was a pleasant surprise, as that is not usually the case.
Overall, this was an engaging read, and one that I feel I could re-read, which is also not always the case with thrillers. If this genre is one you enjoy, then this is a book for you!
