I decided to listen to the Audible version of this book and I really wish I wouldn't have, I may have given it a higher rating. With listening to the book and their being multiple story lines occurring, it was difficult to differentiate between the characters, especially if I had to stop in the middle of a chapter; I would come back and not know which character was giving their side of the story. Other than the Audible set up, I don't have any other complaints. This was my first novel I read by Lisa Jewel and it won't be my last. I tend to enjoy stories set in England and their quaint countryside. It did take me about halfway through the book before I felt very invested in the story, but I'm not a quitter. As the story lines started to intertwine I was hooked. There wasn't any one specific character that I found more redeeming than the others, but the plot itself was interesting, who doesn't love a good murder mystery anyway? Even down to the last two pages the author had twists and surprises in store, and even with the slow build, they were worth the wait.
