This is an extremely satisfying story ! Lisa Jewell has crafted a plot that is both intricate and surprising. The story starts on a romantic beach resort and ends in England with a murder. There are no extraneous characters in this story, which is a refreshing change of pace from authors who feel that the more the merrier is best. Her characters are well developed and I liked all of them ! This made the ending such a surprise. I never guessed who the killer was ! There are many red herrings here, but not enough to make you give uo on the book. The story reminded me of A J Fry's " The Woman in the Window", which speaks volumes about Ms Jewell as a mystery writer.
This book is a fantastic read ! I could not put this down, and I highly recommend this to any mystery lover. There are no disappointments here and I am looking to reading more by her !
