Watching You by Lisa Jewell is a domestic suspense novel set over a period of about 3 months. It is interspersed with police interviews regarding a murder that takes place at the end of the 3 month time period. I was immediately hooked at the beginning of this book, and it kept my attention throughout.
I was a little disappointed that I figured out some of the mysteries in the book a little earlier than I would have liked, but that’s mainly because I love to be caught off guard and shocked at these moments in a book. Nevertheless, there are great twists and turns, including many that I didn’t anticipate, and I was very pleased by the ending.
Lisa Jewell is a master of building suspense and writing plots that keep you guessing, but are not unbelievably over the top or predictable. Watching You is a great addition to her work and it will be perfect to pull you out of your post-holiday slump when it is released on December 26, 2018!
