Lisa Jewell has become one of my favorite authors. I love that her books are so character driven, while at the same time the plot moves along smoothly. The characters in this book are dynamic, have secrets of their own, and are not who they appear to be. They are definitely different from the persona they present to the world. The books asks the questions: How well do you know your neighbors? How far would you go to keep your family in tact? Can you trust your instincts, can you even trust what you are seeing? What happens when everyone around you believes you are crazy and losing your mind but you know what you saw?
