A lot of people say Lisa Jewell's books are "slow" or "predictable". I politely disagree. I think she writes in a really intriguing fashion, and I love her character development and plot twists.

That being said, I think this one was my favorite of hers so far (and I have read several). I loved the misdirection, the mystery, and the general tone of the book. I was freaked out, scared, and generally spooked at times. It was so cleverly written, and fun to read even if you think you do have it figured out from the start. I certainly didn't, and by the time I started to piece things together, I was having so much fun that I didn't mind. Isn't solving the mystery you're reading half the fun? And if you can't solve it, even the guessing is fun. This one is a must-read this year!
