"It was said with the emphasis on the you, which suggests genuine interest in her well-being, not on the are, which would have suggested concern or sympathy: How are you after the last time I saw you when you grabbed my groin outside a pub and I had to take you home shit-faced in a taxi?"

Watching You by Lisa Jewell is an Adult Mystery/Thriller that revolves around the whodunnit trope.

Melville Heights is a series of colourful row homes in Bristol, England and it is not the sort of place where someone is murdered in their kitchen. The relationships in this story are like spiderwebs. For example Tom Fitzwilliam has recently moved into one of these houses with his wife and son as he has accepted the role of headmaster at the local secondary school. Jenna Tripp attends this school and lives with her mum who suffers from mental health issues where she feels like she is being gang stalked. There is also Joey Mullen who has moved into one of the houses with her husband and they are living with her brother and pregnant wife. But someone is murdered and we aren't sure who, or who did it or even why.
