From the first few pages, this book already has me hooked. The pace of the story is well-done. By jumping between present moments of intrigue and investigation and past moments of naivety and peace, tension builds quickly and makes it a serious page-turner. I am already invested in the characters because of the careful detail and description employed by the author. Can't wait to read more!
