The prologue immediately hooked me as DC Pelham is trying to solve a crime of passion that has been committed in an unidentifiable kitchen. Joey's character seems to be a bit of a mess, still immature, recently married, unable to get her life together and living in her brothers spare attic. Her obsession with the neighbor, a character who feels mysterious and dangerous, can only lead to no good. Interesting first look that leaves me questioning exactly what events will play out leading up to the murder.
