Joey is newly married, but lost in what she wants. She and her new husband move home and into her brother and his wife's home, where she sees the next door neighbor, an older man she immediately finds compelling. The first look alternates back and forth between a crime scene, and Joey's first interactions with Tom, the neighbor. It reads fairly easily and quickly, but I don't always like thrillers/crime books that alternate back and forth leading up to a crime and after it's occurred.
