The cover of this book is weird. When I first saw it, I totally judged it and thought, "yea I'm not going to read that" and passed. I recently came across a copy of this book and decided to give it a go, since you're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover and all!

Here's a quick summary of the book:
Mila is used to being alone.

Maybe that’s why she said yes. Yes to a second chance in this remote place, among the flowers and the fog and the crash of waves far below.

But she hadn’t known about the ghosts.

Newly graduated from high school, Mila has aged out of the foster care system. So when she’s offered a teaching job and a place to live on an isolated part of the Northern California coast, she immediately accepts.

Maybe she will finally find a new home—a real home. The farm is a refuge, but it’s also haunted by the past. And Mila’s own memories are starting to rise to the surface.

This book is sad, but it's also interesting and I liked the main character, Mila. I feel like the author did a good job of building her character through the writing style. I don't want to give too much away, but this is an interesting book, and don't judge it by it's cover!
