Honestly, this would be an interesting read, if I continued to read it.

The cover is so beautiful, let's start there.

Honestly, I judged a book by its cover and that's what brought me to read it. Props to the designer.

The concept is quite unique. I hadn't drawn ghosts to a child formerly of the foster system but I have a soft spot for stories about the foster system so I read anyway. My brain just waited for anything scary though.

The starting chapter wasn't very interesting. I find that the first sentence is often the hook, line and sinker for those readers in the book shop, picking up the book and reading the first line. If I had been that reader, I wouldn't have had the patience to read on.

There were also to many unanswered questions from the get-go, like; what interview? Who are Jonathan and Amy? If I hadn't read the synopsis, I would've been lost and wouldn't have bothered to read.

But of course, that's me and if I had patience, I would've read on and continued to read.

The concept, however, is lovely, and that might spur me on to read the book especially since I've read the First Look. It would be an interesting read.
