Mila has just aged out of the foster system and is given a chance to take a teaching position on a secluded farm. She meets the family and the other workers and friendships immediately bloom. Especially between Mila and her one student. Also, there are ghosts all over this farm and everyone can see them.
I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed it so much I tore through it in a day. The bond formed between Mila and Lee was heart warming. The snippets of Mila’s past were heart breaking. She was such a haunting character. The ghost concept in this book was very original and not at all what I expected. I also enjoyed how the book was broken down into labeled sections versus having chapters. Overall, great read.
