This book has creepy fall vibes for sure! It’s a very atmospheric read, pulling you into a foggy farm with ghosts, while also taking on the heavy topic of grief and guilt.
I really liked Mila’s character. She was so well written with the complex emotions of grief, guilt, and shame so well done and realistic. I think her journey with grief (which can be a long journey) was well captured, nothing was filled down or filter. It was completely raw and real. Reading her journey through this was haunting and heartbreaking, and will probably stay with me long after I’ve moved on to other books.
I also enjoyed that Terry and Julia were truly compassionate people hoping to help heal others. They were inspiring characters.
