For such a quick read, this book packs a punch! It starts out with hints about Mila's childhood that was not definitely idyllic, at least not after she and her mother left her grandparent's house. I would call this story a quiet, beautiful haunting because most of it takes place in a farm where Mila interns as a teacher to Lee and later on twins. There are ghosts on the farm, no hiding that but they are not your typical ghosts. They are important though and provided a sweet touch to end the book with.

The author really dwells on the small moments and it makes the book beautiful. As I said before, this was a very fast read but it did not need to be longer. I was satisfied with the story and I highly recommend it!
