This first look is very intriguing and has me wanting to know more about what is happening in the story. I have so many questions already.
I felt some of the writing was a little choppy throughout and it made it hard to focus. The pacing was also weird. I didn't really need to know everything about lighting the wood stove or that the goats eat the grass and and the gate needs to be kept locked.
Overall though, I look forward to reading more of this.
