The cover may be the reason I was first drawn to this book, but the writing is the reason I stayed interested. They say to never judge a book by its cover, but I've found so many books I've loved by choosing covers I liked. And this one doesn't seem to be the exception.
The writing is immersive and haunting. I didn't want to put this excerpt down, and I can't wait to get more! I'm so intrigued by the ghosts and the farm... is it really as good as it seems? I also loved the peek into Mila's back story and her history with ghosts. I have a feeling this will play a huge role in her experience at the farm, for good or bad though remains to be seen.
