I don't read the entirety of these long First Looks when I am really into the storylines because I don't want to spoil the book for myself. I know what I need to know already, and I'm ready to dive into this one.

I was hooked by this set of lines: "This is my home... all the rest of over." As soon as I read those lines, I exited out of the First Look and ordered the book.

I love a book where the character is thrust into a situation of major change. Complete newness. Somehow, even though I know nothing about Mila, I'm already excited for her. Nervous for her. I'm hopeful for her future and I'm terrified. Imagine being a teenager, too old for the foster system any longer, and finally starting the rest of your "adult life" in an unknown situation? I can't imagine it at all. But I'm intrigued to read about it.

Unfortunately, the cover is terrible. It looks too artistic. Too much like a literature cover, and not the thriller/mystery/supernatural? book this seems to be.
