Before I read the First Look sample, I read the blurb and realized it was going to be eerie and mysterious. That influenced how I continued reading the story because everything that was weird became extra creepy to me. Stuff that could be seen as normal became suspicious. For example, the author took the time to state that some of the windows in the main house were dark and this specific detail made me wonder if something sinister is about to happen. Why mention that some windows were dark if it wasn't important?! Also I think it's weird that everyone at the Farm just accepts that the place is haunted and they see ghosts often. All of these details and odd behaviors kept me interested and I want to find out what goes wrong!
