First of all, that cover is immediately eye catching - it’s so stunning and makes me curious to know what’s inside. The brief synopsis hooks me next with the mention of “foster care” - I used to be a case worker and have such a soft spot for stories that include this element (especially if done well). I’ve never read from Nina Lacour before but after reading the first few pages I can tell I’ll love her writing style and that she will keep me hooked until the end!
