So far, we know that Mila has been raised with a mom and a grandmother until her early teens, but has living in foster care for at least 3 years. Now that she has graduated from school, she has accepted a teaching job on a remote farm. The people running the place are all very welcoming, along with the children in the school. It's the ghosts that bring back some bad memories, ones we are only starting to hear about as the sample pages end.
