This book is sooo good. I find myself caring about Mila. I want to know more of her story- I want to know what happened to Lee- her charge- why is he so traumatized- will his character be fleshed out? Who are the ghosts and what do they mean? I really want to know more- I really wasn't expecting to like a ghost story- I read horror books and I like more dreadful reads but this is really good. I really was pulled-in and I want to know more. From the description I thought this was an old ghost story- set in past times and I'm glad it's not because I generally avoid period pieces. It seems a little old-timey but it's not. These characters are all interesting- I find myself wanting to know more about each one. That is the beauty of this writing- it really makes you want to see what happens- good read. I do wish Mila could be more emotional or passionate or mean but she just seems a little flat- that is possibly intentional- I would have to read more to find out!
