The futuristic plot instantly grabs at you with all the wording of bots, tech, and machinery. It has a familiarity Of the real world with kids playing and the hunger pangs of one of the characters. The feelings the main characters she let’s on seem they are human feelings reaching out to the robot world.
I was drawn in by descriptions of everything. The robot arms, the compression bras and “her skin the color of sand”. The writer gives you beautiful imagery.
I am learning about Nigeria. New words of places I’ve never been.
Women dominate this society. Or really young girls who are trying to survive the oppressive government that’s in charge. Overall, I liked the tone. I love the futuristic elements mixed with a deep rooted culture of Nigeria.
