This was a bit of a difficult read for me. I don't mind dystopian, but sci-fi, well, I tend to gloss over. The technology that was in the book wasn't explained as much as I would like. Also, what was explained, I had no clue what they were talking about. I dont know if that's on my lack of knowledge in all things sci-fi or not.
A part of this story line brought in the civil war that happened in Nigeria. Honestly, I didn't know anything about that. I was a bit confused and lost with that. I did read the author's note at the end. That helped shed some light.
I did like the fact that this story was based on sisters, so we have females in war. Girl power and all that.
The cover of this book is what drew me in. It is gorgeous.
