I read one of the author's previous books, Beasts Made of Night, and while I didn't like it very much I thought the author had a lot of potential so I was excited when War Girls popped up.
The concept and premise of this book sounded really great, and cover of this book is amazing. But the writing author's writing style -- with its short, choppy sentences -- still just isn't really for me. Four chapters in, and I still don't feel immersed in the story or connected with the characters. I just feel a bit annoyed.
