Not bad!
Wake Up Wanda Wiley was an interesting read. It’s one part inner dialogue which reminds me of Deadpool, and one part “real world” story.
Wanda Wiley is a writer who is stuck. Stuck in writing, stuck with a guy she can’t stand but is used to, and stuck in her head. Nothing seems to be going her way…until the voices in her head start to influence her.
I definitely loved the inner dialogue portions of the book. Hannah is a great heroine, and I’d have loved to see more of her. It doesn’t hurt that she has the same name as me!
This was a bit of a frustrating read in the real world bits, because Wanda is that stuck. I wish I liked the real world characters more. I would have probably preferred to have seen the whole book play out with Hannah, and anyone else in Wanda’s mind.
Overall, it was a cute story, and worth the read!
