The first look at this book quickly had me intrigued, so winning an early copy through Bookish First, was extra exciting. I quickly dove in.

The main character, Wanda Wiley, is an author. A published author with a bevy of books to her name. However, she's been phoning it in lately and everyone can see it. Wanda can see it too, yes, but she hides behind clouds of weed to numb it all. Her friends can see it. Even Hannah can see it. Who is Hannah? Oh, she's a character Wanda created once upon a time and just hasn't found the right place for her in any of her romance novels. Every time she tries, something just doesn't fit so Hannah sits in a limbo and waits for Wanda to get her groove back.

Reading a book in multiple perspectives always seems to make the book breeze by faster for me, but this especially was a unique formula. I loved the whole concept of these fictional characters coming to life! Isn't that something every reader has thought about at least once?

There is depth to these characters and transformations and growth. It's inspiring really to see this woman come out of her fog and take stock of what her life has become. She struggles with her relationship. An almost 7-year relationship with a man she KNOWS cheats on her and she isn't really sure she likes, but he has this awful hold on her, gaslighting her constantly. Watching her come into her own strength is empowering!

I think it was a fairly short read but it was fun and I laughed out loud quite a few times. It kept my attention and had me flipping e-pages quickly. I recommend it!
