The cover of Wake Up, Wanda Wiley is colorful. I can't say that it would move me to pick it up at first glance, but when I look for awhile it is intriguing. My first impression of the writing is that it flows easily even though it takes a second to catch on to the actual story. It's basically two book characters, from different books, who are stuck in some sort of limbo in their authors mind. We are getting their point of views back and forth, and they sort of break the fourth wall by knowing/realizing that they are actually characters in a book, and that their is an author out there attempting to write their story. I can honestly say that just by the blurb alone this is not a story that I would have picked up. The sneak peek showed me how funny and unique this romantic comedy will be. It has a bit of a metaphorical tone to it from the characters point of views, but it also is just blatantly giving a fun romantic comedy approach to what a writer goes through in the fiction community. At least that's what I got from it. I definitely plan to pick this one up when it publishes, because I need to know what happens in chapter 16.
