I loved the preview of this book. It's clever and original. Author Wanda is depressed and having trouble writing. Her used and repeatedly discarded character meets another character, a detective type from a book Wanda is ghostwriting. They're from different time periods, and he seems to think she's insane. He just hasn't gotten the lay of the land, um, book, yet.
