The stories plot premise reminded me of Toy Story. We are introduced to fictional characters that have to come to terms with, how they can better themselves, through the connection they have with their creator. We have the knowledgeable Hannah, ex-erotica female lead, and the alpha male, Trevor, newly written as part of a ghostwriting contract. Both fictional characters only have one thing in common. They are both creations of the author Wanda. Similar to Woody and Buzz, they don’t immediately see eye to eye but need each other in ways they can’t understand yet. I’ve never seen this idea put into a romance novel so it would be a unique twist to the genre. What I would like to see from this story is more fictional characters to round out the two main leads. It’s clear that they are going to fight with each other but that in itself is not enough to carry the book. Crossing my fingers that they get into wacky situations that involve jumping into alternative novels written by Wanda or Ed Parsippany.
