This story seems interesting, although the first chapter seemed like it was trying to do quite a lot without enough explanation. The second chapter brings us back to the past, as though it's going to explain the first chapter, but then... starts a different mystery?
I will admit, I am at least curious enough about "him" and the boat's original owner to want to continue.
