This book starts on the subject of the main character’s (possibly sketchy) employment, making it seem as though her research, a conflict regarding how she conducts it, or climate change is the subject of the novel. But then it shifts to a phone call from a friend and memories from when they met. So i have no idea what the subject of this book is.
