I Need to Know More about Cadie and Daniela’s Secret!

Cadie is an entomologist, working in the New England woods to identify a certain kind of beetle that is destroying the pine trees and causing forest fires. When she gets a mysterious message from her childhood friend Daniela, Cadie knows that she needs to head home and meet Daniela. The message says that they found him. Who is he? Who found him? What is the secret that binds the two young women together? The scene in which Cadie finds a boat and decides to keep it for her own adventures told me that she is bold and decisive. When she invites Daniela to join her, Daniela hesitates but for a minute and agrees. That must be the beginning of a friendship that lasts because Cadie is ready to answer Daniela’s call as soon as she gets her text. Great first look with interesting characters and a setting that calls to me during these days of enforced isolation indoors!
