After reading through the first impressions sample, I'm intrigued to see what happens to Cadie and her friend. The two periods of time that we are shown in this sample each have their own unique atmosphere, even though they are clearly the same persion talking. In other words, I feel like the writng in the adult Cadie sections vs. the child Cadie sections both suit their ages perfectly. The imagery used in this is fantastic, and I cannnot wait to read more about these characters.
Also, the cover fits the atmosphere of the story nicely, and is very aesthetically pleasing to me. The cover is honestly what first attracted me to to this book.
