The story takes place in a small, midwestern town that has seen better times. Virgil Wander is just like every other resident in town, until his car goes off the road and into the lake. He wakes up not knowing who he is. When he is released from the hospital, everything has a new look. His old life looks foreign to him. Will he start life with a new look, or will he go back to how he lived his old one? Rune, Bjorn and Nadine are just some of the characters that help Virgil through his journey.
