This is really not the kind of book I normally choose. I am more of a true crime genre fan, along with some mysteries and a little chick lit thrown in for good balance. That being said, I was surprised how much I truly enjoyed this book. I fell in love with the characters- Virgil Wander, Nadine, Bjorn, etc. The storyline with Galen and the big fish was such a favorite of mine. He really wanted to avenge his father's untimely death and he sat the sights on the fish- I loved how the people rallied around and tried to help him through it. I also loved that the backdrop of this story was an old time movie theater (love those! The architecture! An experience!). The internal battle while Virgil was deciding to give up the films or not. This book was heartwarming.
