Can I just fill up this First Impression with "I don't care I don't care I don't care"? There's something off about this whole premise and the narrator's voice; it just did not jive with me. The descriptions were awkward and there's this "everyone is quirky" theme revving up that I'm just not into. And the progression of events just in these eight pages // all over the place with very little sense of direction. And why does the main character, just out of the hospital with amnesia, think it's great to ask, over and over, "oh what's your son's name" to a stranger when he, just in case you forgot, has amnesia?? (At least at that point in the story. The narrator is recounting all of this from some time where he remembers things better.) I just... it all felt meandering and pointless. I don't care. (Thanks for the First Look.)
