It was tough to really get a grasp on where this is going since the excerpt is immediately after the accident, so I didn’t get much insight into the character’s past nor do I have a good idea really of who he is in the present, I just don’t feel like I was really pulled in yet. I’m actually more drawn in by the cover, the dark street, the starry sky, and especially the marquee, that looks like a town I’d want to read about.
