Mystery + Fredrik Backman, Set in the US

The premise and first few pages of this story immediately grabbed me. The language is beautifully constructed, and the slightly not-sure-what's-going-on feeling is perfectly blended with the familiarity of a small, midwestern town. The cover is simple, and the opening is gentle, but I have to say I really like that kind of a story. I want to see where this one is going!
