The first chapter certainly gave me an interesting taste of the story and I am looking forward to the rest of the book. Just from reading those few pages, I know a lot about the protagonist, a little about the town, and now there is a side story about someone else. This makes for a very interesting read! I have never read a book about the Midwest, so i am looking forward to that as well. I do love the cover illustration!!
