Wow, I really want to read this book. It grabbed me and pulled me in right away. We have read Enger before in our book club and I always enjoy his work. He can accomplish so much without getting really wordy. Just in that first chapter, I felt like I could picture the town, the inhabitants, etc. He even made Lake Superior seem like a character.
