Okay, I see what this book was going for. The tone is supposed to read as approachable and helpful, however, it raised some red flags for me very early on. I struggle to pick up and enjoy self help books, but I do think they can be done well and prove useful. This one does neither of those things for me. It's over-the-top and honestly, lacks a professional tone that I would expect from a book like this. It also struck me as unauthentic. I wouldn't read more of this one. The cover is very stereotypical for the genre, nothing to write home about.
