My children are all grown, so this book does not apply to me or my circumstances, but I do believe that parents today are much more apt to "get in touch with their feelings" and not correct poor behavior in children, opting instead to "talk to their child about their feelings". The feel good, everybody gets a trophy method is a different way to parent.
