Unseelie has drawn me in with the beautiful, work of art cover and interesting write up.
Upon reading the first three chapters in the “first look”, I find myself captivated and impressed. The author is descriptive in the details of the party. Clarifying between the Fae and humans, the main characters start out to be twin sisters who couldn’t be more different. One sister is a thief while the other is a “changeling”.
During the biggest party, the girls infiltrate the party. One disappears to find what she can steal while the other tries to blend in with the other humans serving beverages. When the shapeshifter begins her speech, the sisters join up to break into a door with a complicated lock. Upon entry they find they aren’t the only thieves in the house.
Dragons exist but not in the scary mythical sense, or so the girls assume. Too bad the house is guarded by dragons who alert the guards.
My first read has me clamoring for more.
