The First Impression was so good that I couldn't help but buy the full book, and I wasn't disappointed. Although a short read, the author really made the most out of one short novel.
This story is set in a lovely paranormal setting, with magic, changelings, and faeries. It's easy enough to understand yet complex and vivid.
Isolde and Iselia have a strong, unbreakable bond between them. I find it a nice change that instead of the book centering around a romantic bond, it revolves around two twins' bond. Seelie's quirks as an autistic and a changeling adds a lot to the plot as the twins on the run face many obstacles.
The world building created a really nice setting, with vivid imagery and Earth-like and paranormal features. It's easy enough to sympathize with the desperate twins. The cover shows a fierce twin (Isolde) as well as a powerful but uncertain one (Iselia). Alone in the forest, the cover is beautiful and draws you in.
