This first impression hooked me right away and I can't wait to read this entire book. The first person POV is my favorite and immediately connected me to Seely. I loved the rich and dark setting which added so much suspense. The diverse characters are so well drawn. The excerpt ended with both a surprise twist as well as imminent danger for the main characters.
