I especially enjoyed Holes’ narrative of his meeting and subsequent relationship with Michelle McNamara, the author of I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, giving us another perspective and glimpse into the work they did together to find the true identity of GSK – Joseph James DeAngelo. Holes’ retelling of the heinous crimes committed by the GSK and the trail of tears and devastation he left behind in his wake was chilling and eye-opening. Was it worth it in the end to keep the promise he made to a young victim? I guess you’ll have to read to find out…
